Crazy Dutch on their bikes to Olympic London

Crazy Dutch on their bikes to Olympic London with the Oranje Cycling Tour!

On Wednesday 25 July, 150 orange-clad Dutch cyclists will arrive at the famous travelling Oranjecamping for a week of Olympic celebrations, lead by Olympic snowboarding champion Nicolien Sauerbreij and accompanied by the illustrious Dutch Brass (Umpa) Band “Kleintje Pils”.

The Royal Dutch Cycling Federation (KNWU) organises a tour with 150 sportive cyclists, from Utrecht, via Hook of Holland and Harwich to the Oranjecamping in London. In two stages, respectively 144 and 130 kilometres, the Dutch will arrive on Wednesday 25 July around 3 pm at the Oranjecamping at Low Hall Sports Ground in Walthamstow, London.

During a unique 7-day holiday following their ride from the Netherlands, participants will celebrate at the Holland Heineken House, and cheer for the Dutch National Team riders  in the Olympic road races (Oranje Cycle Tour ambassador Marianne Vos!) on the Oranje Cycle Square (Carlton Mitre Hotel) at Hampton Court Palace. By bringing professional and sportive cyclists together, the Dutch Cycling Federation wants participants to experience the ultimate Olympic Spirit!
