The Netherlands is an excellent business partner for companies in the UK offshore wind energy industry. With the UK as the largest offshore wind market in Europe, and the Netherlands’ experience and expertise in offshore wind engineering, construction and installation, our two countries’ industries are ideally placed to join forces. The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands recognised the potential of mutually beneficial collaboration early on and has organised several events focused on the offshore wind industry. Working together with UK Trade & Invest on the Going Dutch: Partnerships in Windpower conference in Cambridge and the incoming trade mission of Dutch companies organised by the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce in 2011, the Netherlands and UK have actively sought collaboration and partnerships to share knowledge in installation of turbines, grid connections and turbine design.
