Litro Live! presents Double Dutch Event

Litro Live! World Series, in partnership with the Dutch Embassy, present ‘Double Dutch’ on February 28th 2012; a free festival at Hyde Park Serpentine Bar & Kitchen from 9am- 6pm to be continued in the evening at The Gore Hotel, Kensington.

Double Dutch is hosting a free spoken word and music festival in celebration of the Netherlands and the impact it has on the world through literature, sports and the arts. This will take place in London’s Hyde Park on the 28th February, with a great line up of day events, leading into the evening at The exclusive Kensington Gore Hotel, with talks, debates and live music. Litro Live! returns to the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, Patrick Gwynne’s iconic building on the eastern edge of the Serpentine in Hyde Park. Inspired by English country living, the restaurant is a true retreat for both Londoners and visitors alike.

With London playing host to what is the greatest sporting show on earth in 2012, our theme on the day will be Sports, the Arts and everything else in between. There will be readings, discussions, interviews and live music. Guest speakers include Mart Smeets (writer, journalist & sportsman), David Winner (journalist and author of Brilliant Orange), Simon Kuper of the Financial Times, award-winning writer & poet Ramsey Nasr, Abdelkader Benali (marathon enthusiast and writer of the novel Marathon Runner), novelist Sanneke van Hassel and award-winning Flemish writer Chika Unigwe, winner of the 2004 BBC Short Story Competition and a Commonwealth Short Story Competition award.
